MAXEDA DIY GROUP
Maxeda DIY Group is a market leading DIY retailer that operates 347 stores across the Benelux with over 7,000 employees. Maxeda operates three DIY formats: Praxis in the Netherlands, Brico in Belgium and Luxemburg and BricoPlanit in Belgium. The majority of their stores is between 3,000-5,000 square meters, operating as Praxis (191 stores), Brico (144 stores) and BricoPlanit (12 stores).

Opening first Brico store in Schoten (Antwerp)
Praxis opens its first store in Venlo in 1978, as part of Maxis
Praxis acquires Houthandel Utrecht, including Formido stores
A new concept store Briko Dépôt (hard discounter) opens this year
Praxis acquires Marktkauf, currently Praxis Mega & Tuin. That same year a merge takes place with Vendex-KBB
Acquisition of Brico group stores including the Belgian Leroy Merlin stores by Vendex-KBB (the formation of the Vendex Do-It-Yourself Group)
Opening BricoPlanit Kortrijk, the first store under the store formula BricoPlanit
Vendex-KBB is rebranded to Maxeda. Praxis, Formido, Brico and BricoPlanit are now part of Maxeda DIY Group
Rebranding Brico, BricoPlanit and Praxis stores according to new visual identity. Opening BricoPlanit Ternat and Praxis Maastricht in new visual identity
Opening Brico Pommerloch in new visual identity
Praxis finalized Formido integration into Praxis. In total 44 Formido stores have been integrated into Praxis.
